5-Ingredient Balance Bowl with Adria Wu

Last week on 8th March, the world showcased all of it’s amazing females for International Women’s Day, although, we believe women should be celebrated every day, the month of March is all about celebrating our powerful women. As most of you know, Maple&Co was founded by female food entrepreneur and natural Chef, Adria Wu.

Adria’s love for all things good food started from a young age as her family used only fresh, local, and organic ingredients in their meals. Adria took part in ‘The Now Woman Summit’ hosted by Women of The City Magazine (WOTC). The summit featured over 100 powerful women, entrepreneurs, stylists, influencers, and everything in between. WOTC magazine is the leading free women’s print and digital magazine in all things enterprise and community, they are a strong community of women who use their power and influence to make a difference, and globally, they have created a hub of support for tens of thousands of women.

Adria’s 5 Ingredient Balance Bowl

Serves 2 Ingredients

1 can chickpeas, drained (carb and protein)

1 bunch fresh herbs like dill, mint or basil, chopped (vitamins)

250g turkey or chicken breast mince (protein)

2 bell peppers (vitamins)

200g natural yoghurt (fat)

2 tsp oil, salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, cook mince thoroughly for about 10 mins. Off the heat add fresh herbs, salt and pepper. 

2. Mash chickpeas with potato masher and 3 tbsp yoghurt, 1 tsp oil, and season with salt and pepper.

3. Mix remaining yoghurt with chopped herbs (reserve some herbs for garnish) to make dressing.

4. Core and cut peppers. 

5. Assemble bowl and season and garnish.
